SEN learning and Support

SEN/Inclusion Funding for Children - To secure the delivery of Free Early Education, local authorities have an obligation to promote equality and inclusion, particularly for children with disabilities or special educational needs by removing barriers of access to early education by giving each child support to fulfil their potential.

SEN/Inclusion funding is available for children aged two, three and four who are currently eligible for free early education. Eligible children are entitled to receive 570 hours a year over no fewer than 38 weeks of the year to match their free early education entitlement. Funding can also be provided to support a child’s specialist equipment needs.
